I only use high quality hypo-allergenic nickel and lead free earwires. However if you are allergic to zinc, I cannot guarantee you you won't have a reaction. I use alot of Brass and Brass is an alloy that includes zinc. So please make sure you know if you are allergic to zinc or not.

However, if you would like to keep your brass nice and shiny here are some options: Gently clean with a toothbrush and some non-gel toothpaste. Use a soft cloth and clean with some dish soap and water and dry immediately as to not get water spots. Store your jewelry in an airtight bag.
